I found some interesting material which had a rubbery surface and was composed of grid sections. This piece of fabric became the basis for my inspiration and served as a unique plate for the entire suite. I began the process by overlaying the grids in different colors onto the paper to achieve a kinetic effect, as in the piece I Forgot My Lines. All the prints are titled for a reason. The titles function on several levels and remain an important component in all of my work. They are first and foremost design elements, and as such are integral to the composition. They also provide the viewers with an entry point for accessing the imagery as well as referencing my sense of humor, which tends to be somewhat ironic and self-deprecating.
